CLdrug = (MD*f)/Cp
This formula uses 4 Variables
Variables Used
Drug Clearance - (Measured in Cubic Meter per Second) - Drug Clearance is the rate at which a drug or its metabolites are removed from the body and systemic circulation.
Maintenance Dose - (Measured in Kilogram per Second) - The Maintenance Dose is the dose of a drug that is administered on a regular basis to maintained a desired plasma concentration.
Bioavailability of Drug - The Bioavailability of Drug is defined as the systemically available fraction of a drug.
Target Plasma Concentration - (Measured in Kilogram per Cubic Meter) - The Target Plasma Concentration is refer to the desired or optimal concentration of a drug in the bloodstream at a specific time after the administration.
STEP 1: Convert Input(s) to Base Unit
Maintenance Dose: 70 Milligram per Hour --> 1.94444444444444E-08 Kilogram per Second (Check conversion here)
Bioavailability of Drug: 9.5 --> No Conversion Required
Target Plasma Concentration: 30 Milligram per Liter --> 0.03 Kilogram per Cubic Meter (Check conversion here)
STEP 2: Evaluate Formula
Substituting Input Values in Formula
CLdrug = (MD*f)/Cp --> (1.94444444444444E-08*9.5)/0.03
Evaluating ... ...
CLdrug = 6.15740740740739E-06
STEP 3: Convert Result to Output's Unit
6.15740740740739E-06 Cubic Meter per Second --> No Conversion Required
FINAL ANSWER
6.15740740740739E-06 6.2E-6 Cubic Meter per Second <-- Drug Clearance
(Calculation completed in 00.004 seconds)

Clearance of Drug given Maintenance Dose Formula

Drug Clearance = (Maintenance Dose*Bioavailability of Drug)/Target Plasma Concentration
CLdrug = (MD*f)/Cp

How does maintenance dose help in therapy ?

Maintenance dose is the maintenance rate [mg/h] of drug administration equal to the rate of elimination at steady state. This is not to be confused with dose regimen, which is a type of drug therapy in which the dose [mg] of a drug is given at a regular dosing interval on a repetitive basis. Continuing the maintenance dose for about 4 to 5 half-lives (t½) of the drug will approximate the steady state level. One or more doses higher than the maintenance dose can be given together at the beginning of therapy with a loading dose.

How to Calculate Clearance of Drug given Maintenance Dose?

Clearance of Drug given Maintenance Dose calculator uses Drug Clearance = (Maintenance Dose*Bioavailability of Drug)/Target Plasma Concentration to calculate the Drug Clearance, The Clearance of Drug given Maintenance Dose formula is defined as ratio of the product of the maintenance dose and bioavailability of drug to the target plasma concentration. Drug Clearance is denoted by CLdrug symbol.
